Injury Rehabilitation & Shoulder Recovery

Recover from injury with progressive, pain-free training in Marylebone, London

Injury doesn't mean the end of training. It means training smarter. 60% of my clients come to me for injury rehabilitation—lower back pain, knee injuries, hip issues, and shoulder problems. They're not looking for a physio. They're looking for a coach who understands how to rebuild strength, restore movement, and get them back to full function without pain.

I specialise in progressive rehabilitation training that addresses the root cause of injury, not just the symptoms. Whether you're recovering from surgery, dealing with chronic pain, or trying to prevent re-injury, I'll design a program that gets you moving properly, builds resilience, and keeps you training long-term.

What Is Injury Rehabilitation Training?

Injury rehabilitation training bridges the gap between physiotherapy and full training. Physio gets you out of pain. Rehab training rebuilds your capacity, restores movement quality, and prepares your body to handle load without breaking down again.

I don't just treat symptoms. I identify the movement dysfunctions, strength imbalances, and compensations that caused the injury in the first place. Then I fix them.

This isn't passive rehab. You'll lift, move, and train—progressively, intelligently, and pain-free. Every session is designed to restore function, build strength, and reduce the risk of re-injury.

Common Injuries I Work With

How Injury Rehabilitation Works

Step 1: Movement Assessment

I start with the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and posture analysis to identify limitations, asymmetries, and compensations. This tells me what's not working and why.

Step 2: Pain-Free Movement Restoration

We begin with movements you can do without pain. I'll teach you how to move properly, activate the right muscles, and build control before adding load.

Step 3: Progressive Loading

Once movement quality improves, we start adding load—slowly, progressively, and intelligently. I use Velocity Based Training (VBT) to track your readiness and adjust intensity in real time.

Step 4: Strength & Resilience Building

The goal isn't just to get out of pain. It's to build a body that's stronger, more resilient, and less likely to break down again. We'll address weaknesses, improve movement quality, and build capacity.

Step 5: Return to Full Training

Once you're pain-free and moving well, we transition to full training—whether that's sport-specific work, strength training, or general fitness. You'll be stronger than before the injury.

Shoulder injury rehabilitation for Central London clients

Shoulder Recovery: A Specialist Focus

Shoulder injuries require precision. The shoulder is the most mobile joint in the body, which makes it inherently unstable. Most shoulder pain comes from poor scapular control, rotator cuff weakness, or thoracic spine stiffness.

I'll assess:

  • Scapular movement and control

  • Rotator cuff strength and endurance

  • Shoulder range of motion (flexion, abduction, rotation)

  • Thoracic spine mobility

  • Posture and upper body alignment

Then I'll design a program to restore:

  • Scapular stability and control

  • Rotator cuff strength and resilience

  • Full, pain-free range of motion

  • Overhead pressing and pulling capacity

  • Long-term shoulder health

Most clients see significant improvement in shoulder pain and function within 8–12 weeks. Some notice changes as early as 2–4 weeks.

Who Is Injury Rehabilitation For?

This training is for you if:

  • You're recovering from injury or surgery and want to return to full training

  • You have chronic pain (lower back, knee, hip, shoulder) that won't go away

  • You've been told to "just rest" but rest isn't fixing the problem

  • You've finished physio but still don't feel strong or confident

  • You want to prevent re-injury by addressing the root cause

  • You're an athlete who needs to get back to sport safely and effectively

60% of my clients come to me for injury rehabilitation. Most stay for five years or more because the approach works. Pain reduces, movement improves, strength increases.
